Sato Kikuchi

Sato Kikuchi has been the chef de cuisine at North since July 2008.  Born in Japan, Sato moved to New Zealand in 2001, and there, met Peter Gordon, Head Chef at dine, the signature restaurant of SKYCITY Auckland.

Sato began working at dine, combining his specialty of Japanese cuisine, with that of Fusion style. This change in direction had a huge impact on his career, and his life as well. About this new found discovery, Sato said

“I became hooked on this cooking method, and my passion became creating dishes without the boundaries of a specific cuisine, but still generating harmony with the ingredients on the plate. I love it when people enjoy the uniqueness of these dishes”.

Sato worked with Peter Gordon in New Zealand for over three years, and since arriving in Adelaide, has made it his aim to create an atmosphere built on fine dining.

“I am still in the middle of this process, but am happy with the great feedback we have received from guests."
