Codes of Practice
Our commitment to Host Responsibility was demonstrated by the extent of our submission to the Independent Gambling Authority for the development of Casino Codes of Practice, introduced in June 2002.
Many of the compliance requirements outlined in the Casino Codes of Practice reflect initiatives that were already in operation at Adelaide Casino (see What We Do About Problem Gambling) as part of our voluntarily developed Host Responsibility programme.
Adelaide Casino welcomed the code development, and is proud of the progress we have made in this area.
It is SKYCITY Entertainment Group policy that Host Responsibility programs and initiatives operate in all gaming venues with which the company is associated.
In Adelaide Casino, we have the leading Gambling Host Responsibility program in all of Australia. A program initiative that has the potential to be at the forefront of all casino based operated managed care. With a Host Responsibility Coordinator on site 24/7, Adelaide Casino has the ability to identify and manage customers experiencing difficulties with gambling and/or alcohol. This commitment goes beyond the expectations of the Codes of Practice.
Through collaboration and sharing of resources with Gambling Care Providers, the Adelaide Casino is committed to the continued development of the HRC programme.
